🕊️ Armistice Day – Tuesday 11 November 2025 🕊️
This Armistice Day, we take time to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
We now have fewer than 8,000 UK veterans who fought in World War II, and as their numbers continue to decline, it’s more important than ever that we recognise and support all veterans in our community.
Veterans are more likely to experience both physical and mental health challenges, and identifying them helps us ensure they receive the care and support they deserve.
In the week leading up to Armistice Day, we’re encouraging our team to ask patients:
“Have you ever served?”
If a patient identifies as a veteran, we’ll make sure this is coded in their record so we can provide appropriate care and access to veteran-specific NHS services.
If you know someone who might benefit from this, please encourage them to contact us and let us know.
Together, let’s remember, recognise, and support those who have served.
