Alternative Ways To Order

Using the online service is the easiest way of ordering your repeat medications and we encourage all of our patients who are able to order their repeat medications using this service. Alternatively you can also order your repeat medications by:

  • Use our repeat ordering service – please speak to one of our Pharmacists for more information.
  • Post your repeat slip in either the box outside (if we are closed) or inside the surgery.

Wasted or unused medicine is a serious and growing problem within the NHS. It is estimated that as much as £300million is wasted every year on unused or partially used medication. Therefore, we are tightening up the quantities of repeat (and acute) medication issued, to a maximum of 1 month/28 days at a time.
The local CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) actually advise that 1 month should be the normal maximum.
N.B. If you are going on holiday, or abroad, for any length of time, then we may, as a one-off, issue a maximum of 3 months’/84 days’ worth provided you submit a written request for this.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. You will also need to allow time for the Pharmacy to order your medication and dispense it safely. Please be aware that even if your medicines are available to you on a repeat prescription this still means they have to be re-ordered each month (or every 3-6 months with Contraception/ HRT) and processed, signed by a prescriber and dispensed.
Medication requests that are URGENT and can be processed on the same day are those for:
Insulin, Epilepsy Medication, Asthma/COPD Inhalers & GTN Sprays.
All other requests will be treated as normal and take 2 working days to process
The Practice does not utilise, promote, engage with
or otherwise have any dealings with Pharmacy 2 U. The practice has not given consent for it’s name to
appear on any of the company’s marketing material

Please note we no longer accept repeat medication requests on our answerphone.

If you wish to speak to a pharmacist for advice on medicines or other queries, please telephone: 01954 233457 after 09:00am. Please do not use this number to order repeat prescriptions.

Friends & Family Test

  • The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience. Listening to the views of patients and staff helps identify what is working well, what can be improved and how.

The FFT asks people if they would recommend the services they have used and offers a range of responses.
