A social prescriber aims to provide support for a wide range of issues which can affect wellbeing. Many health conditions can be helped by changes to lifestyle. I am able to spend time getting to know patients and support them to connect with services in the community which are most suited to their wellbeing. I will be working closely with community groups, social services, local charities so I am aware of all that is on offer.

GP net earnings

2017/18 PUBLICATION OF EARNINGS

All GP practices are required to declare mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GP’s working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GP’s working in the practice of OVER SURGERY in this financial year was £64,665.36 before tax and national insurance.

This is for 2 full time GP Principles, 2 Part Time GPs and 1 GP Retainer.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any
comparison with any other practice.
