Fundraising

Well it’s nearly a year since we compilated the surgery extension. We have three lovely new consulting rooms which are now staffed and open to patients. This has enabled us to offer new and additional services to our patients. A massive thank you for all the donations to date.

We would like to make another plea towards hitting our fundraising target as we really need some softer raised chairs in the waiting area, wall furnishings and updated children’s equipment this will make the waiting area much more comfortable for patients and visitors. These items aren’t provided by the NHS and have to come out of the surgery budget.

At Over Surgery, we are very lucky to have been granted planning permission for an expansion to the surgery building. This will give us three new examination rooms to deliver primary care to our patients, we will also gain a new waiting room, toilet and upstairs office space.

The expansion will allow us to offer additional health services in the future and for the surgery to accommodate the growing population of Over and the surrounding villages.

We have been awarded some funding for part of the building costs however the majority of the costs fall to the surgery to cover this. We are looking for donations however small to help with the cost of new medical equipment needed for the new clinical rooms this will include the medical couches, BP machines, scales and other items needed for the treatment of our patients.

We currently have around 5000 patients that are registered at the surgery this number is growing weekly with the new housing developments in the area. The expansion is due to be completed in June 2023 and we would like to make the new rooms available to use and ready to treat patients straight away. With fundraising from surgery staff and kind donations from patients, we hope to be able to achieve this.
