Tests & Results
Blood tests:
Test results are received from the laboratories in the morning, and unless they are urgent, it can take up to 3-5 days for them to be reported to us.
Please call for test results after 11am.
If the results are for your consultant, and you have them on Mychart, and you have questions regarding the results, please go back to your consultant for clarification.
Abnormal result –
If your result is found to be abnormal then we will contact you and advise you of any action to be taken; this could be that the doctor or nurse would like to see you, further tests are required, or that a prescription has been issued.
Normal result –
We will not contact you if the result is normal or doesn’t require further action but we advise you to contact the surgery after 5-7 days to confirm that the result has been received.
