An appointment is normally made for 10 or 15 minutes and is for one person. Some nurse appointments will take longer, and reception staff are aware of this and will make the necessary adjustments. If you have more than one problem to talk to a doctor about then please book a double appointment..
Please let us know if you no longer need the appointment, or if you cannot make it for whatever reason. This means that we make the most effective use of the time of the doctors and nurses.
If we have your mobile phone number we can send you appointment reminders by text message – if you’re registered for Online Services you can update with us your mobile number using the “Update your details” form on the right hand side.
Once you’re registered for Online Services you can cancel or view your appointments online.

Booking Appointments:
You can book the following types of appointments online:
Appointments for our nurses are not currently available online because of the significant variation in length of time for each appointment dependent on the clinical need. These are best booked by contacting our reception team.
Cancelling Appointments:
Appointments can only be cancelled if they are more than one hour ahead. If you need to cancel an appointment with less than an hour’s notice, please contact the reception team.
If you need to cancel an appointment with less than one hour’s notice, please call reception on 01954 231550.
Our aim is for you to be able to see a health professional (eg a nurse) within 24 hours (one working day), or a doctor within 48 hours (two working days), although this may not always be possible. If your appointment is more routine there is currently a longer wait due to the demands on the NHS
