We as a practice are committed to provide high quality clinical care and treatment to our patients delivered with care and compassion.
During the current COVID-19 pandemic we are following the latest guidelines from NHS England and Public Health England and will adapt our procedures accordingly. This includes:
This means if you phone us to book a routine appointment in advance you will be asked if you feel it could be dealt with by a remote consultation. This could be a telephone consultation or if you have a smartphone we now have the capability to host a video consultation.
If you feel you need to be seen face-to-face you will be placed on the telephone triage list and assessed on the phone by the doctor as per our usual triage system. It is anticipated that the triage system will be busier than usual so you may have to wait longer than usual for a doctor to call you back.
We have suspended all routine minor surgery procedures, to free up valuable resources. We are aware that our patients with other acute or serious chronic medical problems need our care and these measures enable us to continue to provide good quality care to all of our patients.
We are experiencing significant increase in ordering of repeat prescriptions. Please helps us, if you can, by allowing extra time between requesting and collecting your prescription.
If you are well and symptom-free you could offer to collect prescriptions for elderly or vulnerable family, friends, and neighbours so that they don’t have to come to the surgery.
The partners and practice staff appreciate your patience and understanding during this exceptionally challenging time.
