When you are discharged from hospital, if required, you should normally receive a supply of medication for the first 7 days.
The hospital should issue us with a list of your medicine requirements (discharge documents) on departure. Hospital requests for change of medication will be checked by the GP first, and if necessary your doctor will issue you with a prescription. Please ensure you contact us well before your supply of medication has run out.
The Doctors will review your medication regularly, which may involve changes to your tablets, in accordance with current policies.
Fit notes are not required for the first 7 ‘Self-Certification’ days of sickness. The hospital should issue you with a Fit Note following a procedure where there is an expected duration on sickness e.g. post Surgery.
